Mikhaïl Batarov

Mikhaïl Fiédorovitch Batarov was a pilot of hunting and Soviet As of the Second world war, holder of the Ordre of Héros of the Soviet Union.

Career

  • Born the September 30th 1920 with Grichino , in the area of Vladimir, it joined the Red Army in 1940 and was patented pilot with the military college of the Air of Borisoglebsk in 1942.
  • It was transferred to the face only in December 1942 and, dice January 1943, it directed, as a starshii leitenant (= lieutenant), a Escadrille of the 611.IAP (=régiment of air hunting), operative in the sector of the the Caucasus of the Northern . The 18 of this month of January it was cut down by German DCA E, but succeeds, though seriously wounded, to bring back its apparatus to its base. It was to finish the war like Major (= Commander), after having flown on Yak-1 and Yak-3.

  • At the conclusion of the conflict it remained in the army, taking its retirement like air Brigadier general in 1981.

  • Credited with 16 approved victories , of which 15 individual and 1 in co-operation , obtained during 322 missions (provided figures by the Czech Historien Divided into volumes Polak).
  • Another total given by the Historian S Russian S contemporaries: 19 approved victories , of which 18 individual , obtained during 350 missions and 75 aerial combats .
