Michael John Catt , more simply called Mike Catt , born on September 17th, 1971 with Port Elizabeth (South Africa), is a player of Rugby English. He plays in team of England and evolves/moves at the stations of half of opening, center, back winger or according to the needs within manpower for the London Irish (1,77 m for 86 kg).

Born in South Africa, of an English mother, it is for its studies that he travels in England. At the same time, the Springboks were private of any international meeting because of the national policy of Apartheid.

After a training with Gloucester, the half young person of opening makes his beginnings with only Bath 21 years old against Nottingham in 1992. Ten eight months later, he knows his first international cape with the team of England against the team of Wales.

He plays as back in the team of England which gains the large slam in 1995, and disputes in the tread the world cup 1995 where he belongs to unfortunate English reversed by the mountain Jonah Lomu on a test of anthology in semi-final.

In 1997, it is called to mitigate a wound during the round of the Lions in South Africa. He plays the last test.

He belongs to the team of England which gained the world cup 2003. He then does not form part of the holders, but its play with the foot and its presence reassuring in the center are worth to him an establishment in semi-final against the team of France.
