Mike Bossy
Mike Bossy (born the January 22nd 1957 with Montreal with the Quebec) is a former professional player of Hockey which evolved/moved at the station of attacker.
Holder of several records of the League of hockey major junior of Quebec (LHJMQ), it makes his professional beginnings in the National league of hockey with the Islanders of New York while being selected with the first turn of the RepĂȘchage amateur of the LNH 1977. He will pass all his career in LNH within this same team.
Elected official recruit of the year (Trophy Calder) after a season record of 53 goals, it becomes, the January 24th 1981, nearly 36 years after Maurice Richard, the second player of the league to make a success of 50 goals in 50 matches. This same year, it takes part in the tournament of Coupe Canada 1981, it makes also party of the formation of Coupe Canada 1984. Its formidable skills of marker (573 goals in 10 seasons) remain his brand name throughout a career which is also marked by four conquests of the Coupe Stanley (1981 to 1984). Problems of back force it with the retirement in 1987.
