Mihawk is a character of the Manga One Piece .

Called " Eye of faucon" , Mihawk is a captain corsair who is regarded as the best sabror of the world. He is thus the man whom Zorro must beat so that he achieves his dream.

Appearance and personality

Mihawk has an immense richly decorated saber, which it carries in its back, it is about the “ Kokutou Yoru ” (litt. “ Yoru, the Black Sword ”), one of the twelve more frightening sabers of the world. It uses it only when that its adversary is valorous or to destroy large targets like a ship. For the other engagements, it uses a small knife in the shape of Christian cross which it carries around the neck.

Very elegant, it carries a long black coat and red as well as a wide hat decorated with a turquoise sleeping bag. Its ship is him also very strange, it is a kind of floating coffin, with a black veil, two candles lit and a single seat.

Mihawk is serious, austere, and cold characters. It has on the other hand a very great direction of the honor and can see the value of people. Of Corsair to the service of the Navy does not seem much it to like its role. Because of the lack of enemies to his size, it is bored and spends its time sleeping. It is satisfied sometimes with small preys, like the armada of Creek, for " to kill the temps". Its presence with the meeting between the Corsairs and the Navy has even surprised Don Flamingo. He was a large rival of Shanks but after the EC-last lost its arm, their relations were standardized and Mihawk visits him from time to time.

History

When it was pirate, he was thus a large rival of Shanks. Since, he became a Captain Corsair with the service of the Navy. Nevertheless, its old premium was not revealed yet.

Creek and its armada seem to have disturbed it in its sleep at the time of their crossed on the Road of all the Dangers. Thus finding an occasion to kill time, he had fun to entirely destroy the fleet of the captain, which was the largest fleet of East-Blue (5000 men and 50 ships). He goes even until continuing them on East-Blue. Zorro Roronoa will defy it on the Baratie, but it will be beaten very easily by single the small knife of Mihawk! This last will however decide to let to him make a last master key of weapons with its gigantic sword because Zorro seems to him to deserve this honor. The blow which it will carry will not be fatal, voluntarily, because the corsair wishes to face Zorro again when this one gains in experiment and maturity.
