Mignafans is a village French of the Haute-Saône in the common of Senargent-Mignafans. The village is located at ten km in the east of Villersexel, in edge of the Forêt of Barns. Mignafans was an independent commune until 1807 and of 1832 to 1972.
History
The history of Mignafans and its communes of fastening is rather complex:
- Until 1807, Mignafans is an independent commune.
- In 1807, Mignafans is attached to Barn-the-Borough, at the same time as Barn-the-City, the Vault-the-Barns, Crevans, Mignavillers and Secenans.
- In 1824, the commune of Barn-the-City is restored; the villages of Mignafans and Mignavillers are transferred from Barn-the-Borough to Barn-the-City.
- In 1832, the commune of Mignafans is restored.
- Finally, in 1972, Mignafans amalgamated with Senargent to form the new commune of Senargent-Mignafans, whose Senargent is the chief town.
