The Mighty Serving 1 is a conveying Navire of semi-submersible heavy parcel , armed by Dockwise and belonging to the class of the Mighty Serving of which it is the only unit still in service.

It shares the basic characteristics of its sistership, the Mighty Serving 1 and Mighty Serving 2 : in particular its hull tulipée to support stability, the boxes of back buoyancy removable, the castle with front, the large easily flooded hold and the two diesel engines.

However, the Mighty Serving 1 was increased in 1999 in order to be able to transport the platform of P36 production; its width was increased to 50 m (40 m before) and the hull consequently on occasion returned more “square” in order to maximize the capacity of loading.

Notable operations

At the end of 2000, the Mighty Serving 1 transported the platform of production Petrobras 40 , establishing a new record since this platform weighed 41  106 tons; additional stabilizers had had to be placed to support the load and the ship had had to be submerged almost until its maximum depth.
