Midleton RFC is a club of Rugby Irish based in the town of Midleton close to Cork, in Irish Republic which evolves/moves in the Irish championship of the Second Division.

The club is affiliated with the federation of the Munster and its players can be selected for the team representative of the area, Munster Rugby.

History

There existed a first club with Midleton between 1927 and 1934, then another club, called The Midletonettes, was founded into 1934 before him also to disappear. It is nevertheless this one which is the direct ancestor of the current club which was refondé in 1967. Midleton evolves/moves in the regional competitions, gaining many competitions, and achieved its goal by integrating the Irish national league (All Ireland League) in 1998. D3 is reached the following year and D2 in 2001. The club goes down again in D3 at the conclusion of the season 2006-2007.
