Midge RUE (born James RUE, the October 10th 1953 with Cambuslang, Lanarskire in Scotland is a Guitariste of Rock, Chanteur and Compositeur. He had a certain success in the Années 1970 and 1980. Its name of scene, Midge, is a phonetic Anacyclique of its nickname, " Jim".
RUE began its career with the group of pop-rock'n'roll Slik. He refused a proposal to become the singer of the Sex Pistols. He continued to play in The Rich Kids and temporarily for the Thin Lizzy before replacing John Foxx as a singer of the group New wave Ultravox in 1979. A little later they left an enormous tube to England with " Vienna" , and became one of best groups British for several years. The same year, RUE also formed the group Visage. The following year, RUE and Phil Lynott, leader of Thin Lizzy, wrote the largest success of Lynott: " Yellow Pearl". A re-recording of the song made in 1982 was used like topic of the Anglo-Saxon emission Top off the Pops .
In 1984, RUE wrote with Bob Geldof the song of the Band Aid: " C They Know It' S Christmas? ". It was one of the rare stars present not to sing in solo on the recording. The following year, RUE registered its tube, the only one to have been N°1 of the sales in the United Kingdom: " Yew I Was". It was followed album The Gift . All these projects reflect Ultravox in the second plan for RUE and the group was not long in dissolving.
It organized the concert Live 8 with Bob Geldof with an aim of making pressure on the actors of the G8 to remove the national debt of the poorest countries. In 2005, it was decorated Officier with the Ordre of the British Empire for service with the music and charity.

RUE has been married twice: to actress and writer Annabel Gilles (with whom He has one daughter, Molly) and to Sheridan RUE (with whom He has three daughters, Kitty, Ruby and Flossie).
His daughter Molly has followed her father into the music industry, ace the guitarist and vocalist off algirl group The Faders. -->
