Middle West
The Middle West of the the United States of America , or the States Midwesterns of the United States of America , also named the Midwest , is a zone including/understanding the states of the coast of the Big lakes, and the major part of the Corn Belt which leads to the Grandes Plains, by the west. The name Middle West (literally, “Medium of the West”) means “Western Exchange” in English. It is the attic with corn of the United States, today very intensive and powerful in the exploitations, but also sociological heart of rural America. Midwest has also many very important American cities, mainly Chicago, Détroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Cleveland and Saint Louis.
The Midwesterns states are not really with the mid-west of the United States, and a more logical name would be the States of the central North-West (mainly for the States of the Grandes Plains, or the States of the central North-East (mainly for the States of the Big lakes), but these terms are used almost only for technical descriptions of the area, and one always uses the Midwest term while speaking. The name Midwest comes from the time preceding the purchase by Louisiana to the France, when the States like Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan was in the center of the American Western face.
