Midès

Midès is a Oasis of mountain located at the south of the Tunisia. It is near the border Algérie and with approximately 60 kilometers of Tozeur and 8 kilometers of Tamerza.

Located on the Saharan Files connecting Tébessa to Gafsa, old Madès was used by the Romains to announce the approach of invaders using Miroir S.

The old village of Midès is abandoned in 1969 following Inondation S loopholes which make more than 400 dead in Tunisia. It is hung in edge of a Canyon where coloured Fossile S and minerals are found. The new village of Midès is in the middle of the close palm plantation which provides Datte S, orange S and Figue S.
