Microsoft Office is a continuation Bureautique owner. It is property of Microsoft and is developed for the platforms Windows and Macintosh. Microsoft Office includes the office automation continuation, the associated waiters and the services based on the Web. The recent versions of Microsoft Office are called now “System Office” rather than “Office Continuation” for better reflecting the fact that they include also the waiters.

These programs are included in all the versions of Microsoft Office 2003 except in the “basic” edition which contains only Word, Excel and Outlook. The control of this software is often required in professional environment.

Microsoft Office Word

Microsoft Office Word is a software of Word processing. He is regarded as the central program of Microsoft Office. He dominates the market of the Data-processing software.

Its format by defect is it “. Doc.”, which exists in various versions corresponding to the versions of Word. Microsoft Office Outlook, not to confuse with Microsoft Outlook Express is a Gestionnaire of personal informations (also known under the name of PIM, English acronym of Personal Information Manager) and a customer of communication by email. Indicated as substitute of Microsoft Email, it makes its arrival in the version of Office 97. It includes a calendar, a customer of email, a manager of tasks and an address book. It is available on Windows, Pocket PC and Macintosh in separate purchase of Microsoft Office.

Microsoft Office Outlook radically changed appearance and of organization at the time of the passage of version XP (2002) to the version 2003: the Outlook bar making it possible to sail in the principal functions of the software disappeared to leave room to a “shutter of navigation” wanted more ergonomic.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Microsoft Office Producer

It was conceived to help of the “not-professionals” to create and format publications. Publisher is also a support to create great printing. In its version 2003, it is available in version SME, Professional and Professional Enterprise.

Microsoft Office InfoPath

Microsoft Office InfoPath is an application which makes it possible users to design forms based on the XML. Included in “Microsoft Office Professional” and “Microsoft Office Professional Enterprise Edition”.

Microsoft Office Frontpage

Microsoft Office FrontPage is editor HTML, a software making it possible to create Web pages. It must be bought separate of the continuation Microsoft Office 2003 but it was included in certain previous models, such as Microsoft Office 2000 Premium.

Microsoft Office Visio

Microsoft Office Visio is a tool for creation of diagrams bought with share of the continuation just like FrontPage.

Microsoft Office Project

Microsoft Office Project is a Management software of projects in front of being bought separately.

Microsoft Office OneNote

Microsoft Office OneNote is a software to take notes being able to be used on Tablets PC or the normal PC, also having to be bought separately.

• the Classeur Office (Microsoft Binder) was a tool which made it possible to insert several Office files in only one file which did not continue beyond Office 2000 because of the many security breaches that it contained.

• the Gestionnaire Microsoft Office was an anchored bar of tools where one wanted it, who contained not only bonds towards the software of Office, but also of the direct links towards the functions of creation of Outlook elements, like the creation of a new message or a new element of the calendar. The last version in which it was present is Office XP.

• Microsoft Schedule More was an integrated software in Office 95. It included a planner, a list of tasks to be achieved and an address book. These functions were reinstated in Microsoft Office Outlook.

• Microsoft Mail was a customer email who was present in Office to the version 97 where it was replaced by Microsoft Office Outlook, or fusion between Schedule More and Email. This software will be available in a version purified and reorganized (a little with the manner of Outlook Express) in Microsoft Windows Vista with a hardly different name: Windows Email, not to confuse with Windows Live Email Desktop.
• Microsoft Outlook Express - customer email integrated in Office 98 Macintosh Edition, replaced later by Microsoft Entourage. It is always present in Windows XP at the sides of Internet Explorer, but is dedicated to disappear with the profit from Windows Mail for the users from transport POP3 and Windows Live Mail Desktop for the users from the transport Windows Live Mail, in the past MSN Hotmail.
• Microsoft Photograph Editor - editor of graphs in the old versions of Office to version XP. It was replaced during one moment by Microsoft PhotoDraw in Office 2000 Premium Edition. Since the version 2003, it was replaced by Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
• Microsoft PhotoDraw - a program for reading and publishing the graphs (appeared in 1998 until in 2000 or it was replaced by Microsoft Picture It! which offered richer options).
