Microsoft Binder was a tool of Microsoft Office making it possible to group several Office documents into only one file. It is also known as a Classeur Microsoft Office .

The Microsoft Office sorter is entirely integrated into the programs Office 97 and Office 2000. This tool practices was not included in next following Office because it comprised many security breaches.

To maintain compatibility, Office XP (2002) and Office 2003 integrate a tool named Microsoft Unbind which extracts the files from a sorter in a file chosen by the user. It is enough double-to click on the file of the sorter and a dialog box proposes to choose the place where the files will be extracted. It is also possible to use Microsoft Binder with Office XP or 2003, but it is necessary to have CD of installation of Office (XP or 2003) and those of an old version of Office (97 or 2000).

If the programs of Office XP and 2003 are compatible with the Sorter Office, it is not the case of those of Microsoft Office 2007 (Office 12) following the change of format of files.
