Microrégion de Frederico Westphalen
The microrégion of Frederico Westphalen is one of the microrégions Rio Grande C Sul pertaining to the mésorégion of the North-western of the Rio Grande C Sul. It is formed by the association of twenty-seven municipalities. It recovers a surface of 5 182,529 km ² for a population of 175.391 inhabitants ( IBGE - 2005 ). Its density is of 33,8 hab. /km ². Its IDH is of 0,758 (UNDP/2000). It is bordering on the State of Santa Catarina.
