Microphone-helmet

A microphone-helmet is generally data-processing equipment integrating a microphone and a helmet in the same apparatus.

It can be presented in various forms:

  • a simple auricle connected to a microphone
  • a double auricle in the form of chip, the microphone being fixed on the cable of one of these two auricles
  • a helmet connecting the two auricles (passing on the top or the back of cranium) provided with a microphone at the end of a stem

It is generally equipped with two Jack catches of 3.5 mm: for the microphone, another for the helmet. The rather recent desktop machines and portables are generally equipped with catches in frontage.

It allows the telephony of Internet via the use of a computer.
