The will microgoura of Choiseul ( Microgoura meeki ) is a species supposed extinct of pigeon, endemic of the island of Choiseul, in the archipelago of Solomon in the Pacifique.
Aspect
This species of pigeon was one of most remarkable in the world. With a length of approximately 30 cm, it had the size of a chicken. A dark blue peak at the top of the head made it resemble the Gouras of
New Guinea.
The wings and the rump were olive brown. The tail was dark brown with has purple hoots. The abdomen had has chestnut coloured ton. The upper side off the bill was black, the lower side red. The legacy were purplish red. It is unknown yew there were differences between the sexes. -->
