Microfilm
The microfilm is a memory support Analogique reproducing the pages of delivers S or Périodique S, of the legal documents and the technical designs.
Its most current form is an invertible roller of photographic film black and white with the Format 35mm. Another form, more widespread when they are technical designs, is the Perforated card Hollerith, which comprises only one sight. The majority of the supports microfilm have a numerical system of indexing marked on the edge of each image, but this information is not used as well for the use of the microfilm itself as to automated systems of research.
The microfilm is not the analogical memory support most compact. The Microfiche is of advantage.
