Michoacán or more precisely Michoacán de Ocampo is a State Mexico located on the Pacifique coast, about in the center of the country. Surrounded, in the West by the States of Colima and Jalisco, in North by Guanajuato and Querétaro, in the East by the State of Mexico City and Sud-Est by the Guerrero, it occupies a surface of 59.864 km ². In 2003, it counted approximately 4 million inhabitants. The capital is Morelia.
The State is composed of 113 municipalities.
The principal cultures of Michoacán are the Avocatier, the Chick-pea, the Citron, Sésame, Sorghum, and strawberries. The State is also an important producer of Bovidé S.
