Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith , become Michelle de Bruin , born the December 16th 1969 with Rathcoole, is old a Irish swimmer .

Although it is only Irish crowned of gold in swimming to the Olympic Games, its name is not celebrated by the Irish people. Its unexpected successes with the Olympic Games of Atlanta with three gold medals whose two titles in 4 strokes, were the subject of suspicion, mainly because of the fact that his trainer and husband, Dutch Erik de Bruin was suspended during four years in the past for illegal use of Testosterone.

Two years later, it is suspended for four years by the FINA, international federation of swimming. This suspension is not due to a positive control as it is commonly allowed. In fact, the urinary taking away is contaminated by alcohol.

The legal battle which opposes it to its federation, it appealed which will be rejected near the Arbitration court of the sport, will then convince it to resume its studies and to make career in the right.
