honourable the Michelle Courchesne , M.A.N (May 6th, 1953 in Quebec with Three-Rivers -) is a political woman Québécois and Député E liberal of the district of Fabre to the National Assembly of Quebec.

Biography

Mrs. Courchesne made her collegial studies with Jean-with-Brébeuf for then making a baccalaureat in Sociologie and a Maîtrise in Urbanisme. She practiced the trade of town planner of 1976 with 1981. She was then municipal adviser and member of the executive committee of the Ville of Laval of 1981 with 1985.

Mrs. Courchesne was Managing director of the Symphony orchestra of Montreal (1995 - 2000) and sat on several boards of directors of which that of the national Banque of Canada, of the Société Radio-Canada, the Foundation of the mental diseases of Quebec and the National school of theater of Canada. Parallel to these functions, Mrs. Courchesne was deputy minister assistant and in title of the ministry for the Culture and the Communications.

With the general elections of April 14th, 2003, she is elected in the district of Fabre and obtains the post of minister of the Relations with the citizens and Immigration (2003 - 2005), Ministre responsible for the area of Laval (2003 - this day) and Minister for Employment and the Social solidarity (2005 - 2007). She is re-elected with the general elections of 2007 with a majority of: 1234 votes.
