Micheline Montreuil
Me Micheline Anne Montreuil (born Pierre Montreuil ) is a lawyer, professeure, écrivaine, politicking radio presenter, trade unionist and Québécois (Canadian). Biography
Micheline Anne Montreuil was born in 1952 in the town of Quebec, ancestral city of her family since 1627 and always her place of residence. Political commitment
Micheline Anne Montreuil in particular made known himself for her battles as a transgenre. Within the New Democratic party, a federal party, Micheline Anne Montruil occupy the stations of Coprésidente of Commission LGBT of the NPD, Membre of the Federal council of the NPD, President associated with the Quebec Section of the NPD and Coprésidente of Commission LGBTT of the Quebec Section of the NPD. It was made elect president of Section 225 of the Syndicat of the public office of Quebec. It was also Canadian member of the boards of directors of the Funds of the rights of the person and of Egale Canada.It was candidate with the nomination in 1984 in the county of Langelier for the Liberal party of Canada, candidate in 1993 at the station of municipal adviser of the District the Blessed Sacrament for the civic Progrès of Quebec and candidate with the nomination in 2001 in the district Saint-Roch and Midsummer's Day Baptiste for the municipal Renouveau of Quebec. In 2007, it gained without opposition the nomination of the county of Quebec for the NPD. It then obtained in the media the support of the chief of the party Jack Layton. Saying itself very at ease with this choice, this last declared that to have candidates being able to raise questions about the equality showed that the NPD is very open and that the Inhabitants of Quebec were sufficiently progressists to accept the differences. Its political objectives include the fight with the problems of poverty, unemployment and homeless person. Elected, it would be the third deputy transgenre in the world, after Georgina Beyer in New Zealand and Vladimir Luxuria in Italy.
