Michel Vinaver
Michel Vinaver , born in Paris in 1927 parents originating in Russia, makes its secondary studies with Paris, Cusset (High Savoy), Annecy and New York.
Biography
- 1944-1945 : Volunteer in the French Army.
- 1946-1947: Bachelor off Arts, Wesleyan University, Connecticut, the USA.
- 1947: Translated The Waste Land of T.S. Eliot (published in Poetry n° 31,1984).
- 1947-1948: Writing Lataume , novel that Albert Camus makes publish at Gallimard.
- 1950: Writing a second novel the Objector (Gallimard) honoured with the Fénéon price.
- 1951: Free license of letters to the Sorbonne.
- 1953: Engaged as tallies training by the company Gillette France, then appointed chief of the administrative service.
- 1955: Follows the repetitions of Ubu King to Annecy (national Training course of dramatic art amateur). Gabriel Monnet which directs the training course requires him to write a part for its training course the following year. Writing the Koreans whom Roger Planchon in October 1956 assembles to Lyon, and Jean-Marie Serreau in February 1957 in Paris.
- 1957-1959: Writing the Ushers and Iphigénie Hotel , created, one 23 years later, by Gilles Chavassieux in Lyon, the other 18 years later, by Antoine Vitez in Paris.
- 1964-1966: Promoted chairman of Gillette Italy, then of Gillette France.
- 1969: Begin Over edge (60 characters, 25 places, 7 hours of representation) which will assemble Roger Planchon (shortened version, 1973) then Charles Joris (integral version, 1983).
- 1969-1978: Negotiate acquisition by Gillette of French company S.T. Dupont and becomes for eight years chairman of this company.
- 1981: Publication of the Stories of Rosalie (children's literature) by Beaver Pocket.
- 1971-1982: Writing the Application , Dissident it goes without saying , Nina it is other thing , Work and the Days, With the shift , Ordinary the : parts created in Paris by Jean-Pierre Dougnac, Jacques Lassalle, Alain Françon.
- 1982-1986: Leave Gillette. Associated professor, Institute of theatrical studies, Paris III.
- 1982-1987: Creation, at the National center of the Letters of the commission Theater (the presidency ensures some during 4 years).
- 1984: Writing the Neighbors (creation with Théâtre Opened by Alain Françon, 1986), and Portrait of a woman (creation in English language, by Sam Walters, 1995).
- 1986: Publication of the whole of its parts by Actes Sud: Complete theater in two vol.
- 1988: Professor of theatrical studies at the University Paris VIII. Writing the Television program , creation of the Comédie-Française to the Odéon by Jacques Lassalle.
- 1991-1995: Translated Time and the Room of Botho Strauss, order of Patrice Chéreau for a production in Odéon. Operational startup of the collection “Counterparts” at Actes Sud (12 titles published during these four years). Publication in the same editor of a collective work, dramatic Writings .
- 1997-1998: Writing King , created by Alain Françon with the National theater of the Hill in 1999, which puts in scene the Ushers in the same season.
- 2001: Writing September 11th, 2001 , created by Jean-François Demeyère in Avignon in 2003.
- 2005: Launches out in the setting in scene of To the shift to the theater Artistic Athévains.
