Michel Vauzelle
Michel Vauzelle is the socialist president of the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure since 1998, re-elected in 2004. It was born the August 15th 1944 with Montélimar (Drome).
Biography
Lawyer with the bar of Paris (1967); first secretary of the conference of lawyers at the Court of Paris (1967); operations manager with the cabinet of Jacques Chaban-Delmas, Prime Minister (1969 - 1972); member of the section of finances of the Economic and Social Council (1972 - 1973); adhere to the Socialist party with Arles (1976); city council man Arles (1977-2001).National delegate of the PS to justice and freedoms (1978 - 1981); assistant editor of cabinet of François Mitterrand, candidate with the presidency of the Republic (1981); chair national school of the photography of Arles (1982 - 1986); spokesperson of the presidency of the Republic (1981 -1986); prefect except framework (1985);

It engaged for NOT at the time of the French Référendum on the European constitution. It was also recently made known in June 2005 while being opposed to the erection of one stele to the memory of OAS to Marignane.
It joined the Nouveau socialist party (NPS), in July 2005.
He is elected appointed with 52.32% of the voices to legislative of June 2007, in the Sixteenth district of the Rhone delta. He thus recovers the seat which he had lost into 2002 vis-a-vis UMP Roland Chassain.
