Michel Vâlsan (Romania 1907, Paris 1974) was Musulman, Maître of the Tasawwuf (its name in Islam was Mustafa 'Abd Al 'Aziz ), Sheik of Tariqa Shadhiliyya with Paris, and author of works and articles on Islamic esotericism.

It was initiated with the esoteric doctrines Islamic, particularly with that of Ibn Arabi. He was an eminent member of traditional Studies based on the work of Rene Guénon ( Sheik 'Abd Al-Wahid Yahya ), of which it was, according to Najm AD-DIN Bammate, " the most direct representative ".

In the beginning also disciple of Frithjof Schuon ( Sheik “Isa Nur AD-DIN ), it took later his distances from with the École traditionalist of this one because it was freed more and more from the Islamic form, and he separated some completely in 1952, after having founded a Tariqa with Paris in which he will practice rites soufis of the zâwiya Shâdhiliyya of Tunis that itself and its disciples attended during years.

He was also director, editor and regular contributor of the review Traditional Studies of 1951 until its death, in 1974.
