Michel Seurat

Michel Seurat was a Sociologue and researcher with CNRS, born the August 14th 1947 in Tunisia.

It was removed the May 22nd 1985 in Lebanon, by the Islamic Jihad Lebanon board, a clandestine terrorist organization suspected of being a figurehead of the Hezbollah, movement Shiite pro-Iranian. Contrary to its fellow-prisoner Jean-Paul Kauffmann, removed the same day, it was not released and its death announces it was made the March 5th 1986.

In October 2005, the remainders of Michel Seurat were found in the southern suburbs of Beirut, covered with a simple wool cloth, then formally identified afterwards tests DNA.

The March 7th, 2006, its body is repatriated in France where it was accommodated with the Aéroport of Orly by French the Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin. The French authorities present this discovery like a mere chance, but Marie Seurat, of Syrian origin, advances the thesis of a setting in scene of Hezbollah: “The Hezbollah knew where Michel had been buried (…) he wanted to repurchase a control (…) When the Lebanese Security forces interior found there is a few weeks the body of Michel, its skin was wrapped in a woolen article remained intact. How this is possible that this cloth remained in the state, whereas Michel had rested for twenty years in a wetland close to the sea, not far from the airport in the south of Beirut. ” She also adds “It there to Iran, certainly, but there is also the Lebanese one. And that one does not come to say to me that they are not known, they are at the Parliament”.

His wife Marie Seurat like five of the former hostages (Roger Auque, Marcel Carton, Georges Hansen, Jean-Paul Kauffmann and Jean-Louis Normandin) deposited felt sorry for against X, the May 22nd, 2002, in front of French Justice for “crimes of worsened removal and sequestration”. She affirms that the August 30th 1985, whereas it had been removed for 3 months, it arrived for the birthday of his/her Laeticia daughter accompanied by two of its kidnappers at face discovered. According to it, he suffered from a cancer or hepatitis and would have been completed by his geôliers.
