Michel Roussin

Michel Roussin is a politician and senior officer of gendarmerie French than the retirement born the May 3rd 1939 with Rabat. Michel Roussin was the principal private secretary of Alexandre de Marenches, director of SDECE (now DGSE) until the election of François Mitterrand with the Présidence of the Republic in May 1981.

Michel Roussin was also principal private secretary of Jacques Chirac to the Mairie of Paris between 1988 and 1993. He is Ministre for the Co-operation Gouvernement Balladur between 1993 and 1994 before resigning following a setting in examination. Roussin is put in examination in several businesses of Secret funding of the RPR and in businesses related to the financing Michel Roussin was temporarily imprisoned then profited from several withdrawals of case in certain businesses.

Named with the direction of SAE International, building firm in the orbit of the bank Paribas, Michel Roussin cumulated in 1997 this function with the presidency of the Africa committee of the MEDEF and the delegation of the francophonie to the Mairie of Paris. Michel Roussin is now vice-president of the Groupe Bolloré for Africa. He currently animates the emission " Words of Afrique" on Direct 8, chain of the Bolloré group. Its first guests were the ambassador of Congo Brazzaville, Henri Lopès, and Louis Gardel, writer, scenario writer of " Strong Saganne". Denis Sassou Guesso, president of Congo Brazzaville, was the subject of a report during this emission.

Its membership of the Franc-maçonnerie had been evoked by Patrick Burnat and Christian of Villeneuve, then his affiliation with GLUA confirmed by Ghislaine Ottenheimer and Renaud Lecadre.

  • 1996: International president of SAE, a subsidiary company of the group Eiffage. It is charged with a special committee within the direction of the Medef on Africa.

Public integrity

In the Business of the government contracts of Ile-de-France, Michel Roussin was condemned in first authority in October 2005 for complicity and concealment of corruption at four one-year suspended sentences: 50000 euros of fine and five years of deprivation of civil rights, civil and family. Blamed by a score of witnesses, the court allotted functions to him multiples and power stations in the organization of corruption.

In front of the court, Michel Roussin denied to have had a role in corruption. He nevertheless admitted to have been informed of the device of corruption in the middle of the lawsuit, a strategy which did not enable him to have the release that he asked. Michel Roussin refused to evoke the possible role of his former mentor, Jacques Chirac.

Roussin then made call of this decision but the judgment is confirmed on November 7th, 2006.
