Michel Polac (born the April 10th 1930 with Paris) is a Journaliste of television, radio and of press, a Cinéaste and a writer French.

Biography

In 1947, 17 years old, it integrates the Club of test, “laboratory” of rtf: “I was still high-school pupil with Janson de Sailly”, tell he, “I animated, with comrades, a newspaper high-school pupil made of bric and pitcher, Between us that we diffused in all the colleges of Paris”.

In 1951 it proposes with Jean Tardieu Entrée of the authors , emission aiming at locating the new talents of the scene. Being held at the origin in studio, it evolves/moves to become “a true cultural emission in public”, Michel Polac trustful “to have had the feeling which it was necessary to leave the studio. I succeeded in convincing Tardieu. ”

In 1955, at the request of Jean Tardieu, it creates and animates the Mask and the feather with François-Governed Country house, public magazine of the letters and the theater, launched Sunday November 13rd 1955, emission still diffused on France Inter. With the beginning of the year 1970, France Inter is on the point of replacing the emission, but gives up in front of the anger of the listeners. But a disagreement between Charensol and Polac pushes this one to leave the emission in May 1970.

It also animates several literary emissions on television: Library of pocket , of 1966 with 1970, emission devoted to the book of pocket, and Postscript in 1970, which it is constrained to stop in 1971 to have approached the topic of the Inceste. After 10 years of televisual absence, it returns and present on television the emission Right of reply (1981). The emission will be stopped little time after the privatization of TF1 in the bosom of Bouygues, in 1987, after a satirical drawing, under the feather of Wiaz, had stated on line this sentence of Cabu: “A house of mason; a bridge of mason; a TV of m…” Lastly, it holds a literary chronicle every week in the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo .

In May 1994, at the time of the European elections, it takes part in the constitution of the list “the Europe starts with Sarajevo” to force the political parties to take into account the situation in the Balkans. He will be the candidate into thirty and unième position. The list obtains finally 1% of the votes cast (it had been credited a time with 12% of voting intentions).

In January 1999 it signs, like 131 other personalities such Gilles Perrault, Pierre Bourdieu or Hubert Reeves, a call for the right to die in the dignity which will be published by France-Evening.

The September 16th 2006, Polac is chronicler in the emission One is not lying of Laurent Ruquier on France 2, which marks its great return on a hertzian chain. Its health condition being recently worsened (it is equipped with a pacemaker and an outgrowth of flesh developed at the right level of its neck) involves its premature replacement the June 9th 2007 by Eric Naulleau.

In June 2000, Michel Polac obtains the suppression of sequences of an emission “Responses” of Serge Moati, devoted to the “intimate diaries” by threatening the chain France 5 of continuations in summary procedure. According to Marc-Edouard Nabe, invited with the same emission, the reading of an extract of its diary by the journalist Dorothée Woillez, bearing on sexual relationships with minors, would have created an violent incident on the plate. According to Michel Polac, it was a question of making remove one of its interventions which appeared excessive whereas the realizers had made the choice cut remarks anti-semites of Marc-Edouard Nabe causing his reaction: “To ridicule my intervention thus is indecent: it is to be faithful to the memory of my died father with Auschwitz that I am assembled to the crenel. ”

April 27th, 2007, in the emission One is not lying not animated by Laurent Ruquier, Michel Polac was caught some with Daniela Lumbroso because this one had several years before exhumed of its diary an extract indeed enough paedophile (page 147).
