Michel Larionov

Mikhaïl Feodorovitch Larionov , known as Michel Larionov (born with Tiraspol, Moldavie, in 1881, died with Fontenay-Aux-Roses in 1964), was a famous painter and decorator French of Russian origin .

He studied at the school of painting of Moscow. Its style passed from the Impressionnisme to the Fauvisme, then was pioneer of the Rayonnisme. It was among the first organizers of the avant-garde in Russia.

It bound with Kasimir Malevitch, had as a pupil Tatline and founded, in 1910, the grouping of the Knave of diamonds then, in 1912, the Queue of ass .

It Maria with Nathalie Gontcharova, another famous Russian painter, with whom he worked out, since 1909-1910, bases of the rayonnism, of which he wrote proclamation in 1912 (published in 1913 in Moscow).

In 1914, it settled with Paris, devoting to decorations for the Russian Ballets of Serge de Diaghilev, which it carried out between 1915 and 1922.
