Biography

Michel FROMET has his roots with Onzain where his/her parents, wine growers, raised 6 children

As sportsman, he was vice champion of university France of handball in 1965. Its team-members remember him like tireless brawler on the ground and a cordial captain with his team-members. As professor, his pupils have in memory its requirements of work, its great rigor and at the same time its attention for the students in difficulty. Passed with the political action after the trade unionism, Michel FROMET starts to militate on the left in 1965, and contributes to the creation of the Federation of the Dormouse and Expensive of the Socialist party while adhering to it in 1969, it turns to engagement to the service of the citizens.

In Onzain initially where he was elected mayor associated for 6 years in 1977. In Blois then, in 1989, with Jack Lang where he is first assistant in charge of finances. During 12 years of tireless work, it was the motive fluid of the municipal team which set up great work whose city is proud today. It becomes also appointed as deputy with the National Assembly for Jack Lang, appointed minister, then on his own name. Deputy of 1988 to 1997 then of 2000 to 2002.

Currently to advise opposition to the municipal council of Blois, general adviser of the canton of Blois 2, he will be the substitute for Genevieve Baraban, candidate designated by the Socialist party on the 1st circonsription of Loir-et-Cher for the legislative election of 2007.
