Mikhail Mikhailovitch Fokine (in Russian МихаилМихайловичФокин) is a Danse ur and Russian choreographer born with Saint-Pétersbourg the May 5th 1880 and died with New York the August 22nd 1942. In Occident it will be made call Michel Fokine .

After studies at the school of dance of its birthplace, it is engaged with the Théâtre Mariinsky in 1898 and is named first dancer in 1904. He is the joint editor, with Maurice Ravel, of the argument of the ballet Daphnis and Chloé , created in 1912.
