Michel Destot is a Politician Socialiste French, born on September 2nd, 1946, with Malo-the-Baths (Northern).
Mayor of Grenoble since 1995, it is also appointed third district of the Isere since 1988. With the National Assembly, he is member of the group Socialiste, radical and citizen.
Since September 13rd, 2007, he is also president of the Association of the mayors of big cities of France (AMGVF).

The médiatisée controversy () was the decision of creation of a stage of agglomeration in the middle of the city, beside the town hall.
