Michel Denis

Michel Denis born in February 1931 in Saint-Brieuc, and dead on September 29th, 2007 was a French historian.

He was the historian of the preserving world of the Western aristocratic and clerical, and of the modern history. Former professor of history to the college of Laval, he was president of the Université of Rennes II between 1976 and 1980. He was president of the National council of the languages and regional cultures then teacher and director of studies to the Institut of political studies of Rennes, and multiplied the conferences and meetings touching as well with the history of Rennes, or Mayenne as to the Laïcité. In 1981, the man chaired the support group of Rennes François Mitterrand.
