Michel Blondy

Michel Blondy is a Danseur and Chorégraphe French born in 1675 and died in Paris the August 6th 1739.

Resulting from a family of internal caliper gauge Parisian, nephew of Pierre Beauchamp, it begins with the royal Académie from music in 1691 and made there career until in 1739. Rival of Claude Ballon, it has as a principal partner Marie-Therese de Subligny. In 1729 it succeeds Louis Pécour like “type-setter of the ballets”.

Among his pupils, one will note Marie-Anne de Camargo, Marie Sallé and Franz Hilverding.
