Michel Biard , aggregate of history, is doctor of the university Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne where it supported in 1993 a thesis under the direction of professor Michel Vovelle.

Biography

After having been during ten years university lecturer in modern history at the university Paris I, it is, since 2004, professor of history of the modern world and the French revolution at the university of Rouen. Its research and work concern the political and cultural history of the French revolution, like on the Théâtre at the 18th century. He is in addition director of the Annales histories of the French revolution , only international review devoted to the revolutionary period.
