Michel Auger (June 27th 1944 with Shawinigan, Quebec -) was one Journalist Québécois specialized in the criminal cases. He became a media high-speed motorboat when he underwent an attempted murder in full street of Montreal the September 13rd 2000.
Biography
He began with the Quotidien from Three-Rivers the Short story writer in 1964, then continued with Subway-Express train and the Radio station CKVL. When it is established with Montreal, it works for the newspaper Montreal-Morning .From 1968 to 1979, he is journalist with the Press . He is then Réalisateur delegated television broadcast of public information The Fifth Estate for CBC of 1979 to 1984.
As from 1984, he is journalist with the Journal of Montreal , according to the topicality of the criminal world, Hell' S Angels and Mafia at the head.
September 13rd, 2000, it undergoes day an attempted murder in full street of Montreal. In spite of the six received balls, he survives and becomes a kind of symbol in the fight against the Organized crime, just like a defendant of freedom of expression.
He is member elect of the Prix of the free expression decreed in 2000 by the International union of the French-speaking press (UPF) to have, “in a harsh environment, maintained his independence in spite of the attacks with his person”.
With the Canada like abroad, he is regarded as one of the best journalists with regard to the criminals of Canada.
