Michel Audiard (of his name complet' Pierre Michel Audiard' ), (Paris, May 15th 1920 - Dourdan, July 28th 1985), is a dialogist and a Réalisateur French of Cinéma.

Taking as a starting point the gouaille of the Parisian people, the dialogs of Michel Audiard constitute one of best testimonys (with the slogans of May 68) of irreverence detached specific to the years 1960. Often qualified anarchistic of right-hand side, one of the only regrets that one knows to him is not to have had time to adapt to the screen Voyage at the end of the night of Louis-Ferdinand Céline. He is the father of the dialogist and realizer Jacques Audiard.

The Second world war, in which it does not take part, is for him one period of deprivations and the release, the spectacle of sad settlings of score.

The shortly after the war, it lives sparely as deliveryman of newspapers what enables him to approach the medium of journalism. In 1978, it publishes a partly autobiographical novel the night, the day, and all the other nights , for which it will receive the Prix of the Four jurys.
