The Saint
The Archangel holy Michel whose name means " Who is like God? " (of SEMI KA EL: who is as Elohim) is a character of the Bible and very popular in the Christian religion, although it cannot be regarded as a saint.
Seul Michel is called " the archange" or angel as a chief in the canonical bible.
He is the prince of all the good angels, the chief of the forces of the sky, of the celestial armies, the Champion of the Good.
In the Old Testament, he is seen when God addresses to the men and is sent, messenger, carrying the News.
It is him which will weigh the heart S at the time of the last Jugement and which will take along the hearts of the elected officials to the Paradis. It is said that it is psychostase and Psychopompe. In mythology, a god psychopompe, of the Greek ψυχοπομπó (psuchopompos), literally “guide of the hearts”, is the driver of the hearts of dead (guide or frontier runner), the guide in the night of death. The epithet applied inter alia to Apollon, Hermes or Orphée. Many beliefs and religions have spirits, deities, demons or angels which have the task to escort the hearts recently deceased towards the other world, like the Paradise or the Hell; they are often associated with animals such as the horses, the corbels, the dogs, the owls, the sparrows or the dolphins.
Among Christians, it is the archangel Saint Michel who occupies himself some.
In certain cultures, the task of psychopompe is also one of the functions of the shamans.
It appears many times in the Bible. Michel appears with the indicator prophet Daniel (daN 10,13-21; 12,1). In the imposing visions of holy Jean with the book of the Apocalypse (Ap 12,7ss), finally in the epistle of Jude (v. 9) where it enters in question with Satan. It is him which retained the hand of Abraham which prepared with immoler his/her Isaac son. He which appeared with Josué with Jericho and did it victorious. He which helped David to fight Goliath.
In the New Testament, the holy archangel Michel is also that which embanked the dragon (Satan), by telling him “Michael”, i.e. in Hebrew, “Which are like God? ” (in reference to the pride of Satan which wanted to go up to highest of the mountains and to show itself thus similar to the Almighty).
For the Catholic S, the holy archangel Michel is thus one of the first people to call upon to obtain a protection against the Démon S.

Towards the Year millet, many vaults and buildings were dedicated to him. They are generally built in places raised to recall that holy Michel is the chief Ange S. The pilgrims went there to recommend their heart to the Archange and to require his protection.
Michel took a new dimension with the Counter-Reformation which says that it is the only military angel being able with the eyes of the Église to ensure the fight against the Protestant Hérésie. In this role of angel combatant, it is represented with a sword.
Michel is also the angel governing the weighing of the heart S, this is why it is also represented with a balance.

Michel in Coran
Michel is also quoted in Coran as being an angel of God who left to seek ground at the beginning to him in order to train the Adam prophet. According to Coran, before Michel, God would have sent Gabriel ( Djibril in Coran) to seek ground to him but this one had refused. She repeated her gesture when Michel ( Mika' it ) left to seek ground for God. Then, God sent Azraël and this time, the ground could not refuse because it was the angel of death.
