Michael Young , born the January 2nd 1961 with Houston, is an American player of Basket-ball, evolving/moving at the station of winger.

Very gifted player, it joined NCAA at the Houston Cougars, by forcing those to take his friend, some Clyde Drexler. With this one and Hakeem Olajuwon, Larry Micheaux and Benny Anders, they form celebrates it Phi Slamma Jamma , team which loses with Final Furnace NCAA into 1982 vis-a-vis the North Carolina Tar Heels of Michael Jordan, then carries out two consecutive finales of Final Furnace. The half finale of 1983 is still regarded as match NCAA of the century by the specialists. With the draft 1984, it is chosen by the Boston Celtics, then joined Phoenix Suns and the following season the Philadelphia 76ers. After a passage in CBA, it joined the championship of France with Limoges. It constitutes the trigger of the team directed by the Yugoslav coach Bozidar Maljkovic. This team will surprise the European basketball by obtaining the title European title in 1993.

After the end of its career of sportsman, it turns over to his old university to occupy a position of director of the operations tennis shoe there.
