Michael Vartan , born on November 27th, 1968 with Boulogne-Billancourt is a Franco-American actor.

Biography

He is the only son of a Bulgarian father of origin , Eddie Vartan, and of a Polish mother , emigrated with the the United States which divorce whereas he is only 5 years old.
Il is also the nephew of the singer Sylvie Vartan.

It is high with his first cousin, David Hallyday (wire of Sylvie Vartan). It passes its childhood between France (near his/her father, type-setter and leader) and the United States (near his/her mother, painter). At 15 years he sees being born his half-brother Nicolas Vartan.

At 18 years, it definitively settles in the United States in order to escape the French military service, then obligatory. On the councils of its friends, it falls under a course of comedy. It makes its beginnings with the cinema in two French films: a man and two women (1991) and Walks of summer (1992).

It is the Italian film Florile (1993) in which it plays the part of a French soldier who marks the beginning of his international career. In 1996, its role in the Carrier at the sides of David Schwimmer and Gwyneth Paltrow is its first great American role.

In 1999, its role of a professor of English literature in the film Collège attitude at the sides of Drew Barrymore propels it under fires of the projectors. He interprets then similar roles in an almost perfect couple (2000) and Fou of her (2000).

In 2001, it becomes famous on television thanks to its role of the agent of the CIA Michael Vaughn in the series Alias .
