Michael Sandel (born in 1953) is an American political philosopher. He is professor with Harvard, within the department of political science. One can attach his work to the current communautarien of American political philosophy, in particular from the type of criticism of the theory of the justice of John Rawls which it developed in Liberalism and the Limits off Justice (1982).
