Michael Anthony " Patch" Pacino is the hero of the first seven books of the American author of Techno-thriller S Michael DiMercurio.

History

The father of Michael, Anthony , ordering USS Stingray , was killed in the years 1980 pennies the ice-barrier of the Arctique by the Soviet Alexi Novskoyy. This episode deeply marked the Michael young person, 18 years old, and pushed it to integrate the underwater forces of the US Navy. Its successful mission, Pacino becomes permanent commander of the Seawolf .

Whereas it must leave the command of its submarine and integrate the command of the underwater forces of the Atlantique (COMSUBLANT), Donchez entrusts a last mission to him: to run CNF Hégire , a nuclear submarine of the Islamic front unified which intends to launch three nuclear missiles against Washington, D.C. Pacino concludes its mission, but loses its building in the battle. Its bravery is worth to him the Navy Cross and its nomination at the post of commander of the underwater forces (USUBCOM).

A few years later, it personally leaves in Mer Japan to supervise the installation of a naval blockade against the Japan and the fight against the submarines Destiny II , on board the USS Barracuda , which will run in the battle. Then it takes the command of the American forces of the Pacific on board new the USS Devilfish to prevent the communist forces from taking again the control of the whole of the Chinese territory (divided between Communists and Guomindang).

He becomes then chief of Staff of the navy, and will be very seriously wounded in the explosion of two mines with plasma on the Princess Dragon , a steamer rented by the navy for a seminar of his Staff in the the Caribbean. He will resign of his station, but will accept, one year later, to return in the navy to the orders of the Devilfish in order to run USS Snarc , a submarine robotized from now on under the control of his enemy of always: Alexi Novskoyy, and which threatens to launch missiles against the the United States. Pacion will run the Snarc , losing the Devilfish in the combat, and will kill Novskoyy. It will then take definitively its retirement.

Anecdotes

• Pacino and others senior officers militated for the creation of a unified command of the American underwater forces. It was the first to occupy this station, with the title Commander for Unified Submarines Command (COMUSUBCOM).
• He was the youngest chief of Staff of the US Navy, and undoubtedly most direct with the policies.
• It occupied all the military stations which its mentor occupied, Dick Donchez.
• the Barracuda , on board of which Pacino was assembled to supervise the Japanese blockade, was directed by David Kane, which had saved the life to him after the shipwreck of the Seawolf . The admiral put a point of organ then never not to be interfered with the command of Kane.
• Colleen, the third woman of Pacino, is an high ranking official of Dyna Corp Inc. , the company which builds all the American nuclear submarines, and the girl of the admiral Dick O' Shaughnessy, chief of Staff of the armies.
• His/her son, Anthony Michael, is pupil of Annapolis, and is shown among most brilliant and most turbulent of its promotion.
