Michael Moorcock
Michael John Moorcock is a writer, author of many Romance fantastic and Science-fiction; he was born the December 18th 1939 with Mitcham, close to London
In 1957, he becomes editor association of the review Tarzan Adventures , then in 1964, director of the review New Worlds .
Parallel to its literary career, Moorcock collaborates with several rock groups, like the Bellyflops, Hawkwind and Blue Öyster Cult.
In 1962, it marries Hilary Bailey. They have two girls in 1963, Katherine and Sophie, then in 1971, a son, Max.
Its works, energy of the Fantasy to the Space operated while passing by the Uchronie, have a certain number of common topics, like the fight of the order against chaos, the presence of prototypes, like that of the hero, called the “Champion eternal”, whose Elric or Hawkmoon is only the incarnations, the structure of the universe (the Multivers) in parallel worlds where the things occur in a similar but nonidentical way, involving little by little increasingly thorough differences.
The Uchronie is present with the trilogy of novels Oswald Bastable . Moorcock imagines a world whose technology would have remained blocked on the steam engine like engine and the airships like combat and means of transport.
For its works, it obtained (inter alia), 3 Prix Hugo and a Prix Nebula.
The sagas of Elric and Hawkmoon were the subject of an adaptation in Roleplays (respectively Stormbringer (which then became Elric ) and Hawkmoon ).

Lastly, with some members of Hawkwind, it founds the group “Michael Moorcock & the Deep Fix” with which it will leave two 45 turns " Dodgem dude/Star cruiser" and " Brothel in rosenstrasse/Time center" as well as an album, " The New World' S Fair" , apocalyptic disc on which he sings, plays of the guitar and the mandoline, and of which he signs a good part of the texts. “Deep Fix” is also quoted in the adventures of Jerry Cornelius…
One can also note his participation in the disc " Lucky Leif and The longships" of Robert Calvert (a member of Hawkwind), disc produced by Brian Eno; Robert Calvert at the origin of the character is described in the news The Opium General.
