Michael Jones (historian)

Born with Wrexham (Wales), the December 5th 1940, Michael Jones has very young emigrant in the center of the England, as student in history with Oxford, then as professor at the university. Its career of teacher, begun in 1966 at the University from Exeter, mainly proceeded with the Université of Nottingham where he was professor of medieval Histoire French of 1991 with 2002.

He is also member of several companies:

  • Royal Historical Society (1971),
  • the Company of History and Archeology of Brittany (1972),
  • the Society off Antiquaries off London (1977).
He is also honorary vice-president of the Survey firm and Research on the Country of Retz (1985). He is decorated with the Ordre of Hermine.

Its many work mainly concerned the period of the ducal Brittany.
