Invincible mark a new stage in the musical style of Michael Jackson, since it directs towards the R' B with the assistance of new producers such as Rodney Jerkins.

Contrary to the preceding albums with which nearly 9 individual were marketed (7 for Thriller, 9 for Bad and Dangerous), Invincible produced only two individual in the United States with You Rock My World and Butterflies . Cry also was the object of third individual, but only in Europe.

You Rock My World reached Signal 10 in the United States, but during a small week. The video clip with large budget for this song, with the appearance of Marlon Brando and Michael Madsen, on the whole lasts 14 minutes and there exists 5 minutes a short version. Michael makes in this clip of allusions to her old songs, her old clips and choreographies which made it famous. There exists also one mix of the song with the rappor Jay-Z. Butterflies returned in Signal 20 American and is even assembled in the second place of the classification R' B without having individual marketed, but its success remains mitigated in this country in spite of a Remix radio rather popular with raspy the Eve. The lack of success of Invincible rests according to Jackson to some extent in its very weak promotion, which opens a crisis between Sony and Michael Jackson: several exits the individual ones are cancelled (whose Unbreakable ) and the promotion of this album is stopped three months hardly after its exit.

In one week, Invincible nevertheless was sold with more than 166.000 specimens in France, which makes of it the album more sold in one week by a foreign artist in this country. (followed in 2nd place by Madonna and its album Confessions There are Dance Floor in 2005, who profited from an important advertizing campaign throughout the world)

The June 13rd 2002, Michael Jackson was introduced, for its work of type-setter, in Songwriters Hall off Famed. At this same period, he shows publicly the chairman of Sony Music, Tommy Mottola, to have sabotaged the promotion of his album Invincible . Tommy Mottola was then laid off by Sony. The 29 August 2003, Michael attends one evening given in the honor of its birthday in the suburbs of Los Angeles (in Orpheum Theater). The November 20th, Michael Jackson leaves a new new song, One More Chance , composed by R. Kelly. It is only the new song present on its compilation Number Ones which closes its contract with Sony concluded in 1991. A clip had been turned to Las Vegas but its diffusion was cancelled by Sony following the new charges carried against the artist.

The November 16th 2004, Michael Jackson leaves a box set 4 CD and 1 DVD, heading The Ultimate Collection , recalling the whole of its career and with old new pieces, new demonstrations, versions and some new songs. Cheater is used in a restricted way for promotion of the box and its clip made up of extracts of the DVD Dangerous Tour is diffused on certain music channels. Another clip is diffused, Beat It , is extracted from the same DVD.

The July 19th 2005, a new compilation “The Essential Michael Jackson” leaves as well as a DVD containing the concert Bucharest Dangerous World Tour. Against any waiting, CD compilation is sold very well (N°1 in France and + of 350.000 sold specimens), the DVD also (N°1 of the sales of musical DVD in France) undoubtedly benefitting from the curiosity of a new public after the lawsuit.

The September 6th 2005, Michael Jackson, far from visible médiatiquement since its payment, states to have written a humane song entitled From The Bottom Of My Heart (then famous I Cuts has Dream ) whose benefit will be versed with the victims of the hurricane Katrina. The project is on standby of recording under the label 2 Seas Records (http://www.2seasrecords.com/) with the participation of many artists among whom will appear Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, R. Kelly, Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Yolanda Adams, Babyface, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Little Richard, Jermaine Jackson, Snoop Dogg, the O' Jays and Ciara. The song will finally never be marketed.

Between the February 20th and the June 26th 2006, Sony BMG recommercialise each week old individual of Michael Jackson in a new format DualDisc : each one will comprise a face CD with the song, and a face DVD with the corresponding clip-video. On the whole, the 20 individual ones could be gathered in the same box called Visionary - The Video Individual .

The April 18th 2006, Michael Jackson turns a large page in its career while announcing in an official statement that it leaves the label Epic Records (and thus its recording company Sony BMG), under which it produced all its albums solo since Off The Wall in 1979. Indeed, it is learned that the singer signed a contract with the English music producer Guy Holmes who is in addition the chairman of the independent label 2 Seas Records, whose seat is with Bahrain. The contract envisages the production of at least a new album, whose exit would be planned for end 2007.

One month later, the May 27th, the singer arrives at Tokyo to receive there a reward in MTV Video Music Awards Japan, namely Legend Award. It is its first official public appearance since its payment the previous year. In 2006, the singer announces his intention to settle in Great Britain, country that it affectionate, in order to work on a forthcoming album and to envisage a series in concerts throughout the world.

Michael Jackson resides then in Ireland with her children, where he was seen working in studio with the Will.I.Am producer of the Black Eyed Peas.

November 15th, 2006, Michael Jackson is present at World Music Awards with London (England) to receive there a reward, Diamond Award, reserved to the artists having sold more than 100 million albums. A criterion which it already very largely obtained. With a resumption of the title Thriller by Chris Brown, the ceremony will pay also homage to the 25 years of the album of the same name, which leaves besides to France in an limited edition “Packaging Disque Gold” in November 2006.

November 16th, 2006, at the time of her stay with London for World Music Award, Michael Jackson entrusts to Mtv the U.K. which he mainly only works with the writing of his next album and which once definitively installed in a new residence he will attack a project of film.

Michael Jackson resides at present at Las Vegas (the USA) with her children, where they would have been seen with several spectacles of which those of Prince and Beatles. He would always work on his new album, in particular with the studio Record Seedling of Los Angeles.

In January 2007, Jermaine Jackson announced its will to create a variety having for topic Jackson Five. Michael Jackson would have proposed that the spectacle takes seat with Neverland Ranch.

Moonwalker is a play of arcade on Sega Megadrive (Sega Genesis) and Sega Master System. The player incarnates there Michael Jackson in the adapted history of homonymous film.
