Michael Foot (born the July 23rd 1913 with Plymouth) is a British politician .

Michael Foot is a polemist, speaker, Pacifiste (Countryside for nuclear disarmament - NDT), appointed Labor of left close (with Harold Wilson) to Aneurin Bevan of which he wrote a biography, minister, unhappy leader of the Workers party of 1980 to 1983 (leader of the parliamentary opposition of left under Margaret Thatcher). Regarded as the last one representing archéo-members of the Labor Party (Old Ploughing) by the " blairistes " modernisateurs.

It belongs to a remarkable political family: his/her Isaac father was one appoints Liberal party, one of his brothers (John) was member of the House of Lords, another (Hugh - Lord Caradon) diplomatic and ambassador of Great Britain, a third (Dingle) Minister for Labor justice. Its nephew Paul Foot (wire of Hugh) was journalist of investigation, chronicler and leader trotskist (Socialist Workers Party).

Today (2006) 93 years old, Michael Foot is an enthusiast to support modest football club Plymouth Argyle and beat the record of longevity for a former leader of the workers party.
