Miabi is a locality and a territory of the province of the Kasai-Eastern in Democratic republic of Congo.

Miabi is a word Tshiluba (spoken language by Balubas, ethnicity of Kasaï and Shaba) with the Kasai-Eastern , which is the plural form of 'muabi, a tree with gray foliage clearly and white trunk which one typically finds in the current area of Miabi. In the tradition, this tree was used for the blessing of a woman or a man (one planted the tree accompanied by certain ceremonies of blessing on the occasion).
