Anecdotes
In May 2007, the actress, then ambassadress of UNICEF, sends to the Wall Street Journal an open letter with Steven Spielberg in which it reproaches him her role for advising Chinese government for the Olympic Games of 2008. It specifies there that the realizer was likely to become the " Leni Riefenstahl of the Plays of Beijing ". Its step makes following two letters that she had addressed to him personally, and who had remained without answer. Mia Farrow requires of the realizer states-unien to leave what it calls " plays of the Genocide " if the Chinese government does not decide to play of its influence on the Sudan to put an end to the crisis Darfur.
Conscious of the risk that it takes while attacking such an influential personality in the cinema world, it estimates however to risk only its career, which is little of things in comparison with the 10000 monthly deaths that causes the Sudanese conflict. With the breaking news, Spielberg considers all the options, including resigning.
