The Mfoundi is a department located in the Province of the Center at the Cameroun. Its chief town is Yaounde which is also the capital of Cameroun.

The department is resulting from the division of the old department of Méfou (today separate in Méfou-and-Afamba and Méfou-and-Akono) in 1984.
