Meyrargues

Meyrargues is a common French, located in the department of the Rhone delta and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure. Its inhabitants is called Meyrarguais.

  • the Château of Meyrargues , whose foundation go back to IXe or 10th century, was refitted with XVIIe by the family Of Albertas, from which it kept the name is today transformed into hotel 4 stars. The castle and its park appear in the inventory of the sites since April 10th, 1952.

Joseph d' Arbaud: poet, manadier, born on October 6th, 1874 in Meyrargues. Wire of Philippe, Francois, Marius d' Arbaud, owner, and of Marie-Louise Martin, girl of Valère Martin, félibre of Cavaillon. A street of the village bears its name.
