Mexican Constitution of 1917
The Mexico had three Constitution S. the first date of 1824, the second of 1857 and the last of 1917. This last version was promulgated following the congress of Querataro the February 5th 1917 and was modified several times thereafter.
The constitution of 1917
Constitution anticlerical and liberal, it comprises measurements relating to the work and the Social protection, very radical for the time. It also envisages reforms intended to restrict the possession of the mines and grounds by the foreigners.The Constitution reflects the various tendencies which were expressed before and during the revolution: Anticlericalism, Agrarisme, social sensitivity, Nationalism. She announces a social Land reform and laws (eight hours day, right of association in trade unions, right to strike, minimum wage, limitation of the work of women and children). The capacity of the Church is considerably reduced (loss of the control of the civil statue and any social role and policy). The not-re-election is registered in the Constitution.
