The hamlet of Epeaux, depend on the commune of Meursac, shelters a commandery templière 11th century. This commandery is in the course of restoration by its owner, Jacques Tourneur, which was worth the handing-over of the price to him Chanoine Wet cooper 2003 on behalf of the Academy of Saintonge, which encourages the restoration of the inheritance saintongeais.

Personalities related to the commune

Paul Yvon, known as " Beurchu" , was a man particularly known and loved in Saintonge. Its house, " My Feurmijouère" (my anthill, in Charente-native patois), is in Epeaux de Meursac.

It was impassioned by Napoleon, and the history of its area.

Usually speaking the Charente-native patois, it has to record a disc of fables in patois.
